Breakfast Edition

On today's episode I make yummy breakfast burritos & show you guys the 'behind the scenes' of the Christmas Party location!

I know it's been a while, but no excuses. Here's the Christmas Party project that I've been planning for almost a month. I'm so happy to see all my visions come to life :) A lot of hard work went into this event. There were many times when I felt like giving up & there were also times when that I thought my visions weren't going to be fulfilled. From my sister (who made all the delicious desserts),my best friend Mary(our personal DJ), to my Mom who wore many hats and was crazy enough to not only believe in me, but also support my vision. Thank you. Without you all this would have been impossible. I've been dreaming about going into event planning for a long time & with this  being my first event, I've learned so much.  Not only was a lot of money invested into this project, but a lot of time. Everything was decorated diligently & thoughtfully according to my vision. Room by room we executed the design, strung the lights about, and strategically placed the decorations making sure that no room was too over-done or too plain.  One thing I want to touch on really quickly is recognition. I don't think our guests realized how much effort we put into the layout, but in some way I know that they all enjoyed themselves and perhaps it was because they felt the love that was put into the plan. Because honestly, I loved doing this. I loved seeing the house fill up with people. I loved seeing everyone that I really care about socializing with others, and I loved that everyone was in such good spirits. & That right there is the beauty of event planning. It's not the design, decorations, or music that makes the event so special, it's the people who come and fill that space up with love & laughter. For without them, there would be no "event" at all. So, to everybody who came thank-you. And to everyone who helped in any way, big or small, you are appreciated. Here's to new beginnings & more to come soon!

looking at these pics make me happy all over again! yeeeeey! :) xxx
